I am fine and hope so thy, write me at the address in sky...

For last few days, my mind has been playing a single number again and again. I heard the song just a few days back, when just to check what’s going on in the costliest Puja ever of Navi Mumbai ( and perhaps World! ), we found Somlata performing live. Somlata is a famous Bengali female singer and has really got a superb voice ( and long beautiful hair :) ) Amongst many a songs, she sung a beautiful piece by Late Rudra Mohammad Shahidullah , “ Amar Bhitor Bahire Ontore Ontore ”. Kaustav, my colleague, told me about the song that it’s not that popular when written, but rose to the stairs of popularity as ‘ Youth’s anthem ’, especially in Jadhavpur boys, after being reincarnated by another legendary Bengali singer/writer/activist Kabir Suman . Following is the transliteration of the song, from Wikipedia : Aamar Bhitor Bahire Ontore Ontore Achho Tumi Hridoy Jure Dheke Rakhe Jemon Kusum Paprir Aborone Phosoler Ghum Temni Tomar Nibir Chola Moromer Mul Poth Dhore Pushe Rakh...

Inception: Why I liked it?

If you want to see, what wonder a good Director can create on well written tight script and bunch of good actors, you must go and watch Inception. Hearing a lot many good reviews and praises about this new flick, we booked Sunday morning show tickets. Seating with a houseful of audiences, loaded with high expectation, we were a little afraid or better say, skeptical about the movie. For most of the highly praised movies, distaste has been a general phenomenon for we people. Inception ~ Experience the Maya So, the movie started with a strange Leonardo presented to an old man, who had seen the totem in his half-dream and have been waiting

Not so Random: Hurt Locker vs Green Zone....Conspiracy Theory to Emotional Young Uncle Sam!

There are two very important knowledge ingredients in American blood.... first the Right to Speech, and second How to use it? Browse through the mighty internet and get a long, really long list of Conspiracy theories . For the sake of direct and simple station, Wikipedia has also got a List too. Interestingly, most have their origin in America! Being it the New World Order or the popular Kennedy’s assassination or the much widely known Moon Landing and why not the Death of Michael Johnson! Well, that was just the preamble. The post is about what I observed watching two Hollywood movies, one of which won the Oscars, the other my favour! One of which was on the work done by United States Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) in Iraq, other depicting the Iraq Conspiracy Theory....One was the Hurt Locker , other the Green Zone . I liked Hurt Locker . It was a movie about an Army team whose work was to dispose the explosives dropped in Iraq and lying there. It portrayed the humane

Natarang (नटरंग): My First Marathi Movie

Last Sunday was day booked for movies. First on the slot was Natarang (नटरंग). Natarang was my first Marathi movie and perhaps the second Regional Language movie after the classic Nadiya Ke Paar (नदिया के पार ) . Except for a few words, I don’t understand Marathi , and thus watched the subtitle version. But, I was so engrossed in movie that for the times was feeling the movie and not reading it. May be, as said by Paulo Coelho in The Alchemist , the characters were speaking World’s Unified language . The best side of the movie was its ability to keep the viewer enthralled throughout. Story line was about a body-builder farmer taking the risk of opening a theatre company, putting all his emotions on stakes; finally dares to take the role of a eunuch-character on stage. For the purpose, the hunk villager, played by Atul Kulkarni , shaved off his thick manly moustaches and had to lose his muscles. He learns the ways a woman walks talks and plays with different gestures. In the course, h...
