Photo A Day Experiment (PADE) Day19 - Caged

I had a few pics for the subject, I tried to write down a few lines that could rhyme (or at least be read like rhyming), then honoring my limits I took recess to Google search and could find what I had in my mind at BrainyQuotes

The truth is I love being alive. And I love feeling free. So if I can't have those things then I feel like a caged animal and I'd rather not be in a cage. I'd rather be dead. And it's real simple. And I think it's not that uncommon
~ Angelina Jolie
Let me be free...
This is how I ended up saying I'd rather be dead impromptu when asked what I want to do in my life. :)

Well, this pic was shot at ghats of Ganga (Ganges) in Varanasi with a telescopic lens and is my current Whatsapp DP. Not just the kid's mood, I love the mood of complete picture which has absolutely no relation with what the kid is up to.

Also, I am in deep love with Angelina's lips, but that's another story.

This picture post is an Entry to PADE-2013, a month long Photo-blog event. To know more and participate, click here or here. Check themes here.

  1. Punit...I see a lot of sadness in the image...its breaking my heart but going well with the theme.

Did you mean to convey this? Or I am reading too much in it?

  2. No, certainly not. Picture was shot with a thoughtful mood, seems the quote and repetition of word 'die' changed it, deleted one from the caption... Thanks for pointing it out @Juztamom :)

  3. Hey I get what you are saying. Also I think I am a little sensitive to kids and sometimes read/see a lot!

Read it again, still has a sober mood but yeah not sad, rather thoughtful.

PS: Also I didn't pay attention to your Jolie's obsession earlier :)

Trekking Ghansoli Gawli Dev (Parsik) Hill

It’s been there for geological ages, we have been looking at it for last about 4years and I have been planning to trek it since a long time. Finally, few weeks back, we trekked the Ghansoli Hill.

Ghansoli Hill is located at the eastern boundary of Ghansoli town, behind our office complex at RCP. The hill or better hillock is a part of small range that separates Kalyan and Navi Mumbai towns. A search on Google Map returns with a name Parsik Hill for it, though there is one more rather famous Parsik Hill in Navi Mumbai. We also found a NewsArticle, that talks about NMMC plans to develop Nature Awareness Centre at this hills and calls it Gawli Dev Hill. Here, we would be calling it Ghansoli Hill. I asked my colleague about it and he readily agreed. The very next Sunday we did it with another friend. We weren't aware of the route. All we knew is that a Central Road runs along the western edge of the hill and can be reached through the Vashi-Mhape road. We later found that there’s a Bus…

AshtaVinayaka Yatra with Bisons

(This post has already appeared on Bisons Ride Hard website, to check out click here) Ever since I read Vinni’s post on last year’s Ride of Faith, I have been waiting for this year’s ride. The day I came to know about the Bison’s schedule, I started preparing, until I realized I don’t have leaves. Few days left to the ride, multi-reminders received and I was like, will I be able to make it? Something happened, meetings deferred, jobs got completed and I was able to ask my boss for leaves; and, who can deny you leaves that too for a Ride of Faith, Ride to AshtaVinayaka! I felt blessed that day, and now after the hard ride we had, I know I’m blessed! We are a nation of faith, which plays an immensely large role in our lives, being homely, officially or on the tar. Though Bisons have started riding hard the day they first met at BKC on a fine Sunday evening of July 23, 2011 at BKC; official announcement was made on the auspicious day of Ganesh Chautrthi, Shukla Paksha, Bhadra maas, i.e. Se…

It was not just another sunny Weekday, it was a day when we were scheduled to meet and have lunch withnon-other than the JhakkasAnil Kapoor. Well, it all started a few days back at around 11PM when I received this mail from Indiblogger to confirm if I would like to have anExclusive Lunch with Anil KapoorcourtesyTata Storme and 24 – The Show. Not very much into Bollywood, I asked my friends should I go. And, it was like everybody had a single answer,of course. (check out the the blogpost which led me to this meet)

I was picked up at Vashi with another Indiblogger Deepti by Abhinav in a Bus bound to Pune from Dadar. There I met Ira and another guy (probably Varun) and also the other 3 bloggers (Megahna, Nandini and Vaisakhi). A group oftweepleswas also there, who have won some twitter contest. As the journey took its course, I befriended with the Bloggers and few of the tweeples. With the day unfolding we came to know more about the event. We reached Tata’s Pune factory at around 10 AM, a…
