Last Sunday was day booked for movies. First on the slot was Natarang (नटरंग). Natarang was my first Marathi movie and perhaps the second Regional Language movie after the classic Nadiya Ke Paar (नदिया के पार ) . Except for a few words, I don’t understand Marathi , and thus watched the subtitle version. But, I was so engrossed in movie that for the times was feeling the movie and not reading it. May be, as said by Paulo Coelho in The Alchemist , the characters were speaking World’s Unified language . The best side of the movie was its ability to keep the viewer enthralled throughout. Story line was about a body-builder farmer taking the risk of opening a theatre company, putting all his emotions on stakes; finally dares to take the role of a eunuch-character on stage. For the purpose, the hunk villager, played by Atul Kulkarni , shaved off his thick manly moustaches and had to lose his muscles. I started thinking about compiling the Year 2009, the way I saw it! The way I experienced it! But, couldn't! Just not because, I couldn't find good time to jot down all the events and happenings of the 2009; also cause I was not finding it easy to gather every moment of the Year of 365 days, x24 hours....;D On the very last day of the Year 2009, we, all the guys of M.Sc.-Geology Batch 2006-08 of BHU , received this mail from one of our classmate, who tried to express everything happened with the Batch people poetically ! He's not a learnt/proven/acclaimed poet, but he did touched our souls! It may not carry any value to anyone, but for our Batch....it did some magic! Magic of Nostalgia! I watched the movie 3-Idiots on 27 th December. I had had a number of recos from friends to watch it asap. My dire desire was to see 42 goin on to 21! And, to be very true, I didn’t recognize Amir as 42 or 21 years old guy. He appeared as a representative typical collegiate, and I enjoyed the movie. The Wangdu thing was really quite unexpected and appealing. Well, one thing that I noticed REMARKABLY was that the movie was having 5PS as its soul , no doubt, even though I read that quite a time back and don’t remember it all! Friend who recommended it to me also said so. Ryan ’s transformation into Ranncchoddas or Rancho could not go unnoticed. Hmmmm.... I was thinking a good start of this post, but cudn’t. Sorry, but be sure you’ll end with something good at end....:-) I started tweeting a few months back. The first thing that I came to know about Twitter is that ‘anyone’ can follow (or be friend) anybody! Next things were, you tweet something good and get followed by spammers, pornbots, and poor mktg’bots! This Diwali, we planned to visit the Alibaug beaches. A friend suggested that it’s better to visit nearby Kashid and Murud-Janjira , as the waters are cleaner and sands are cleanest on ghats. I browsed through the Google, and found the suggestions real true. One of my seniors, hailing from IIT-B, even told me that it’s actually white color fine sand/silt beach at Kashid (Geologists’ can’t resist), and the beaches are not very much crowded. We were also advised to witness the sunset at Kashid beach. Sooooooo, we were total 8 people, (3-me n my 2room-mates + my 3 frns + frmz’ 2 frns) for the day-long tour-de- Kashid-Murud-Janjira !
