Rain Ride to Rajmachi with Inddiethumpers

Rajmachi has been one eluding dream ride for me. Every time it had been planned by the Inddiethumpers , the guys I ride with, for a reason or two - I couldn’t make it. So, this time when it was planned on a Saturday night, I took no time to confirm my attendance! Map to Rajmachi Rajmachi is a small village, some 15 km from Lonavala – a famous tourist destination. It’s a well-known 15km easy trek. But, the real adventure is to ride to the village, and so Ride to Rajmachi has always been a dream ride for the Riders.

True Pixers' First Photo Exhibition

There was a time when stamp collection was the Best known hobby. I did try to collect ‘ deo ’ cans, but storage-constrains (!) and apathy towards using them a lot to have empty cans, led it to the well-waited death (though I still have a few old days Old Spice and Denim deo cans ;) . Guitar was the next hobby, I learnt relatively good and was able to play a few numbers as well to inspire at least one guy to took it as hobby, before I left it. I learnt in very early days of my Guitar- saadhna , that my sura -aptitude is as good as Farhaan Akhtar, and at few notes better (!) than him. Finally, I took riding as one hobby, it made me to motivate towards writing – so blogging as the next one and finally photography as another. This post is about the hobby called Photography, mostly candid ( as would be writing a critical later ;) ).  Rather, this post is about the highly enthusiastic guys I have been in constant touch with, for last few months, for a single reason ‘ Photogra...

A lot happened over the Cup…Truly!

Was what happened is actually worth sharing? Hmmm…wellll….the kind of person I am, always ready to criticize what I didn’t like, ready to call up the Customer Care to fight for the right(s), mail/snailmail to let the company/firm know where they went wrong, Yess, I must share what happened today evening… Today I was to meet a blogger friend at Airoli. Place decided was CafeCoffeeDay, obviously . I waited over an hour and two cups of coffees. Met, talked, checked my phone, placed it on table to show my interest in discussion , discussed, shook hand, left the place! Something must happened over the table. Few minutes later, I realized am missing something. Purse checked, bike-papers checked…it’s my phone! Ohhh, it my Lifeline! Apps, Contacts – well, not lost, but a tension that one never can invite, plus another faltuu ka kharcha… :’( Rushed ride to CCD, the guy at counter tried to listen to me, and said, ‘Yes’ with a smile! Overwhelmed, I thanked (just thanked) and left ...

Trekking Ghansoli Gawli Dev (Parsik) Hill

It’s been there for geological ages, we have been looking at it for last about 4years and I have been planning to trek it since a long time. Finally, few weeks back, we trekked the Ghansoli Hill. Ghansoli Hill is located at the eastern boundary of Ghansoli town, behind our office complex at RCP. The hill or better hillock is a part of small range that separates Kalyan and Navi Mumbai towns. A search on Google Map returns with a name Parsik Hill for it, though there is one more rather famous Parsik Hill in Navi Mumbai. We also found a NewsArticle , that talks about NMMC plans to develop Nature Awareness Centre at this hills and calls it Gawli Dev Hill. Here, we would be calling it Ghansoli Hill . I asked my colleague about it and he readily agreed. The very next Sunday we did it with another friend. We weren't aware of the route. All we knew is that a Central Road runs along the western edge of the hill and can be reached through the Vashi-Mhape road. We later found that t...

A Blind Date: A Ride to Remember

‘ So, you must have been to lot of exotic places? ’ she asked, I could feel the spark in her voice. ‘ Not a lot exactly. There are so many places here to see in one lifetime ’. A pause, a long thought, some sure silence, ‘ only if you’re endowed with eyes’ , suddenly I realized I went a little too far. ‘ Ohh, never mind. Tell me, what people you met? And, girls? Don’t you dare to lie… ’ Blind people certainly have ability to sense any physical or emotional commotion. Before I could dive into apologies, she changed the mood. ‘ Ahh, Aunt Tessy, don’t tease me. You know me. I do ride with people, but girl- ahhh never been my cup of tea ’ She smiled, ‘ poor chap you are! Well, what you think about this lady? Game for a ride? ’ ‘ A blind date ’, (shit) I blurted! She jumped, ‘ In true sense my boy! Let a woman teach you a thing or two! A Blind Date!’ a miles long smile, stretched with brightened wrinkles, and a tinkle in eyes . I'd never been on a ...
