Photo A Day Experiment (PADE) Day24 - Rain

Till a few hours ago, PADE was Picture A Day Experiment, and then it got rain-washed to make me realize that it has always been Photo A Day Experiment.

Anyways, Rain has always been my favorite season (of course after Winters), and living in Maharashtra it means a lot! Not just for the drought affected areas like Ahmednagar, but also as it paints just every region Green as soon as it reaches the state.

So, for the today's theme I would be posting three different pics..

This first pic was shot while descending from Naneghat by my Olympus mju waterproof camera. Our recent trek was the Best trek ever with waterfalls following the course made for general people :) You should see the rain drops in pic...

Trekking down Naneghat
On our recent  Lonavala-Karla trip, I found this drenched bottle-brush flower. It's a favorite flower and luckily with the P&S Olympus mju camera, I could capture the droplets! Mission accomplished :)

Bottlebrush and the droplets
And, this third pic was shot years back while we were driving to Lonavala for a tea and stuff. This is one most known type of rain photography, isn't it?
Drops on the other side of Window
These drops on the other side of Window are just good for Photography, real drops are to be felt :)

Banned Indian Books

Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high; Where knowledge is free; Where the world has not been broken up into fragments by narrow domestic walls; Where words come out from the depth of truth... Few days back when I came to know about a book on an Indian Business Barron on the Banned Indian Books’ List, the first thing that came in my mind were the lines from Tagore . What an irony, we live in a country, whose forefathers have dreamt about a nation without fear, about a nation with right to speech, right to knowledge; and where the Government enjoys the “privilege” to “freely” ban the books, censor what it feels offensive! Wikipedia describes Banned books as the books whose free access is not permitted. Further it says that the practice of banning books is just another form of censorship, and often has political, religious or moral motivations. In our country, banning books have got its history since the British rule days. In fact, few of the Books

...not just Right, it's My time to visit Melbourne NOW!

‘ Sir, wake up, it’s Victoria ’ some sort of voice-management, of course with due courtesy, and it banged on my ears again ‘ Sir? It’s Victoria, didn’t you want to get down here… ’ Fighting the universal conspiracy, I tried opening my eyes and listening to the conductor simultaneously,   yeaah multi-tasking ! ‘ Oh, yeah, thank you! Thanks !’ a formal smile, rubbed shoulders (it wasn’t crowded, I was yet sleepy) rubbing my eyes I stepped down of the tram. “ Wooo….Man! Where I am? This is not Kolakata, forget it, this is not even India !” I stepped down apparently from Kolkata Tramway at   Maidan   near Victoria Memorial, but it wasn’t the same. There was no   maidan , no typical Kolkata traffic, no Victoria Memorial and it was something else. Fishy! No it wasn’t fishy. I looked back at Tram, it wasn’t like Tram either. Highway 31 Bikers' Restaurant ‘ Have I had grass? No, neva! So, how did I disembark a metro when I picked up a tram an hour ago? ’ I

Riders of the Nation of a Billion - Dimensions and Horizons

Incidentally I wrote a post of my tranformation from just around the corner corporate junkie into a Rider (for sure, still gradually) few days ago. Now, here are the Indibloggers with a Contest for the Bikers of the Nation with Castrol guys . Evolving Biker Code of the Nation When you look at the scenario of Biking in a general sense, you would be attracted by the road-rowdies and rookies who ride to spread nuisance and are mostly acknowledged for their deeds by the newspaper. Hooligans may be the right word. But, once you get involved with the passion, you would be able to see how the passion of Biking, or rather Riding, is evolving in the country where 2-wheelers over-power 4-wheelers by scores of galactic height, but have never earned respect on highways just coz they are the smallest-speeding machine there! I would try to let you through the Indian Riders tale, so that you  be able to appreciate how the riders of the Country are working, though in a segregative way
